![]() This mastarm is perhaps one of the rarest streetlight items left in NYC. Dating from the pinwheeler light days of the 20's, it used to hang off of many utility poles, especially in The Bronx. This one still persists in the Riverdale section of the west Bronx. Most of its contemporaries were braced below the arm. |
| When shot by Kevin Walsh, in 1988, it sported a GE doubtful M400A2, and bore the indelible mark of a nearby fire alarm box. These days, Kevin informs me, it is nearly hidden by overgrowth and it's alarm light is busted. |
